A division of the French multinational Group Danone, Nutricia Australia’s continued growth required additional office space to the 1364m2 at Talavera Road, Macquarie Park.
Working to the design developed by WMK Architecture, under the broader project management of Knight Frank, the project delivered an additional 300m2 of NLA by laterally expanding Nutricia’s tenancy on Level Four. Given the close proximity to the current business operations, Building Guild was required to develop a meticulous staging, noise and dust management plan to minimise any impact to Nutricia’s staff while also retaining access to client facing areas including reception and boardroom spaces.
As a part of our collaborative philosophy, we worked closely with the project team to develop a cost effective and efficient approach to reducing the impact of any works on the operating environment. Our proposed approach to the demolition phase of the project saw us creatively use the existing partitions and materials to shield the business from the building works, thereby avoiding the cost of additional temporary hoarding.
In executing the fit-out works, Building Guild planned the noisy and dusty works in cooperation with the client to avoid disturbance to their business operations, all the while maintaining a very low profile with materials handling.
The final stage of the fit-out involved the refurbishment of the client facing elements of the workplace; sensitively reconfiguring the space for improved efficiency and reinvigorating these important entry statement areas in line with the revitalised workplace design. The complete expanded office space is a technologically advanced environment which leverages cutting edge AV and security technologies within a modern commercial office design setting.[/column_one_half_last]
