Design & Construction
On each project, we focus on personal consultation and true collaboration.
Our integrated design and construction service allows our creative, highly skilled and cost-effective designers to work alongside our construction team. This hybrid design and construct model provides our clients with a seamless end-to-end service from the initial design planning and approvals to project handover. As a result, our cohesive team gains an in-depth understanding of the opportunities, risks and constraints of each project, leading to simplified processes and time and cost savings for our clients.
Planning
Through careful planning, we ensure the safety of our people and the community and achieve our client’s goals. We are renowned for our detailed planning across all aspects of project delivery, from approvals, design and on-site construction management to occupancy certification at practical completion. We focus on identifying project risks at the inception and are detailed in our pre-construction design and procurement process.

Early Contractor Involvement
By partnering early in the process, we can provide advice on buildability, sequencing, and construction risk. Early involvement helps us to achieve greater cost efficiencies by refining the scope or the design while increasing certainty around project deliverables.

Remediation
We are experts in remedial building services and heritage restoration.
Our team manages remedial works on significant and sensitive building projects, including capital projects, strata work, insurance and other commercial entities. We also put in place preventative measures to minimise future issues.

Our safety planning is highly detailed and underpins every decision we make. Our expert team out-engineers known hazards and risks and optimises health and safety principles as an integral part of daily operations.
We take every opportunity to mitigate risk, reduce hazards and support our people to deliver their best work. We use an integrated approach for managing HSE in all aspects of our firm.
Our Health, Safety and Environmental Management Policy ensures the systematic management of all our people and partners we work with or affected by our work and ultimately the sustainable transformation of our community structures that we build.

Our integrated approach to ecologically sustainable development means that decisions at each phase of the design and construction process are good for the environment and the community. We look after our sites, use local and sustainable products where possible and ensure our activities leave small environmental footprints.
Building Guild operates in accordance with the ESD principles. Our policies adopt the Australian standards for:
- Occupational Health and Safety Management System Australia / New Zealand ISO 45001:2018, in order to ensure the company, its employees and our subcontractors comply with the legislative requirements.
- Environmental management systems Australia / New Zealand ISO 14001:2015
to ensure the company, its employees and our subcontractors comply with the legislative requirements for optimising the site potential with a positive environmental impact consistent with our environmental policy.
