For the team at Bar Brose, it is not their first restaurant venture, having delivered on the promise of a the wine led, dining experience at their star restaurant ACME. Bar Brose has been designed by one of the leading names in hospitality interior design, Luchetti Krelle, with the space intentionally understated and exposed, creating a space for the food, wine and customer interaction to take centre stage. Working collaboratively with the client team from concept design drawings which set the tone for the space, the Building Guild scope involved stripping out what remained of The Passage and delivering on the design vision. This included working with the chef on the functional design of the commercial kitchen through to the services design throughout the space which required keeping diners comfortable while the kitchen pass was opened up to face the dining area; bringing guests closer to the experience.
During the 4 week construction period, Building Guild’s team worked openly with the client on both the aesthetic design and functional design changes so that as we built the space, the end users could make a contribution toward the details that matter to them from an operational and customer point of view.
