Global investment manager Schroders’ lease extension at 123 Pitt Street Sydney necessitated a refresh of its Australian headquarters. Conceived by Siren Design, the project was centred around creating a high-quality space for clients and employees, including improvements to the client reception area, meeting spaces, boardrooms and breakout areas.
Schroders’ decision to remain in the existing space, with employees utilising the tenancy for 14-hours of each for the entirety of the project, meant working within a live environment. To allow business to continue as usual, our team was required to schedule noisy and dust-creating works after business hours. The project was delivered in three stages to minimise disruptions.
The team was tasked with coordinating with Schroders’ IT team to duplicate and subsequently relocate the IT/communications system, including electrical, mechanical and major security upgrades.
The Schroders fit-out refresh received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the client due to the quality of work and construction management of the project.
