Building Guild was engaged as the head contractor to deliver a comprehensive base building upgrade and a state-of-the-art medical fit-out for IVF Australia. This multi-stage project required meticulous planning and execution to transform the facility into a fully equipped medical center, incorporating high-specification surgical and clinical environments while ensuring the hospital remained fully operational throughout the works.
The scope of work included:
Surgery theatres – Designed and constructed to meet strict medical standards.

A key challenge of this project was the replacement of all rooftop air conditioning units. To facilitate this, we coordinated two major crane lifts in the rear laneway, ensuring seamless delivery of new equipment and removal of outdated systems. Given the sensitive nature of the facility, all mechanical and structural upgrades were strategically staged to maintain uninterrupted hospital operations.
Collaboration was critical to the project’s success. Working closely with Nutbrook Engineering Group, IVF Australia, and multiple stakeholders, we implemented a highly coordinated approach to access management and scheduling. The constricted program required precision planning to meet all stakeholder expectations while delivering a high-quality outcome within the required timeframe.
