Originally built in 1869 and formerly known as the Shakespeare Hotel, is one of Newtown’s original hotels, now lovingly known by its locals as Coopers Hotel. Building Guild was engaged to undertake the refurbishment, to refresh and upgrade the main hotel.
Working with designers Luchetti Krelle, the gentrification included a new central bar, outdoor terrace, gaming lounge, wine cellar, amenities and hotel interior.
Building Guild’s reputation for delivering heritage, high-quality fit-outs and construction within hospitality and commercial, helped secure the contract in a competitive tender process.
