Cibaria – Manly Pacific Hotel
Manly Pacific Hotel Restaurant Refurbishment
On behalf of Akardia Group, the Private Family Offices of the Karedis and Laundy Families, Building Guild successfully completed the replacement of the façade, with major fire engineering to the buildings smoke exhaust strategy and installation. This included the demolition of an existing two storey structure on the podium level and then upgrade with a new pressurised, air tight and fire rated new two storey steel structure to mount significant exhaust fans 20,000l/s to extract of smoke from the ground floor of the building in an emergency situation.
In addition, Building Guild completed the high-end fit-out of an Italian restaurant at the Manly Pacific Hotel.
This flagship project to the Manly foreshore, designed by the renowned hospitality architecture firm Luchetti Krelle, and delivered in collaboration Mostyn Copper, brings to life an elevated dining experience that seamlessly blends sophistication, craftsmanship, and functionality.
The extensive fit-out also included a new façade, a fully equipped back-of-house kitchen, a dedicated pizzeria with a custom-ordered bake oven, and a bistecceria, each designed to provide a seamless culinary operation. A feature of the space is the beautifully integrated Gelateria, offering a distinctive touch of Italian authenticity.
Guests are welcomed through a striking new entrance with a restyled contemporary façade, setting the tone for the elegant interiors. The main dining area, complemented by exclusive private dining rooms and a custom-built wine cellar, creates an inviting yet refined atmosphere.
The luxurious space is further enhanced by the installation of three different terrazzo concrete floor finishes, with
brass & tile in-lays.
To ensure optimal comfort and efficiency, Building Guild installed a new mechanical air conditioning system designed to withstand the relentless Australian Summers while providing extensive extraction to handle the open charcoal cooking and pizza ovens. The considered design of the façade added to the air strategy allows the restaurant to alternate between fresh ocean air on coolers days and A/C on warmer ones. Additionally, the newly fitted-out bathrooms align with the sophisticated ambiance of the restaurant, maintaining a cohesive and polished design throughout.
Delivered two months ahead of schedule, this project showcases Building Guild’s expertise in programming for premium hospitality spaces with precision and attention to detail and understanding their clients key drivers.
By seamlessly integrating high-quality materials, expert craftsmanship, and state-of-the-art functionality, we have created an exceptional dining destination that reflects both the vision of Luchetti Krelle, Mostyn Copper and the high standards of Arkadia.
