Growing from a cult favourite to a multistate mainstay, this retro inspired diner has taken cues from ’70s American diners. Waterside and located in the thriving Barangaroo precinct, originally opened in 2016, the refurbishment aimed to further develop its iconic branding – with timber paneling lining the walls and counter; vintage brown tiling and chrome sconce lighting as well as tile-topped tables and new furniture, creating an authentic feel and fostering an atmosphere of warmth and nostalgia.
Operating in the heavily trafficked district of Barangaroo, Building Guild employed its experience in the management of access routes and delivery, ensuring a smooth project delivery. Working within confined spacing to minimise disruption to the frequent foot traffic, Building Guild was able to deftly handle the inherent constrictions of working in a busy commercial area.
