End-of-trip Facility
Building Guild was engaged to deliver a major upgrade to the building’s amenities through the provision of new end-of -trip facilities for an A-grade, 22-storey commercial office building located at prominent CBD location on the doorstep of Barangaroo.
With the basement serving as the main car park access for the fully-tenanted building, the works needed to be completed around pedestrian access, as well as minimising noisy works and any building disruption.
We were assigned to enhance the building’s offerings via best-in-class amenities, bicycle parking, storage areas and end-of-trip facilities, inclusive of premium change rooms and shower suites, branded ‘The Sanctuary’.
A serene seaside scheme is referenced throughout The Sanctuary which embraces healthy living and well-being. Convex walls, functional panelling and beachy tones set the scene and evoke a sense of calm. Grooming stations, change rooms and amenities transform the user’s experience.
The scope of the new facilities included:
— Trenching through the structural slab to get services to the new facility
— Demolition, relocation and installation of several services within the level 1 carpark
— Delivery of additional bicycle parking, bike racks and storage facilities
— Delivery of a new plant room adjacent to the new end-of-trip facilities
— Delivery of a new outdoor air unit to serve the end-of-trip facilities with tempered outdoor air.
— Fit-out of new end-of-trip facilities within basement level including installation of new DDA, eight of male and five of female amenities, ironing facilities, shower suites, lockers, drying room and associated lighting, mechanical, hydraulic and fire services.
