A design and construct contract, this project entailed a two-storey extension to a neglected heritage residence in Sydney’s inner eastern suburbs. Major excavation of the semi-detached site was undertaken, and piling was installed to deliver the ground level. This floor featured a large open-plan zone encompassing kitchen, living and dining areas, plus an outdoor terrace. A ten-metre-long skylight with hardwood and exposed steel detailing was installed, in addition to a staircase, limestone flooring, and terraced undercroft with parking.
