Carnival
Fit-out
The nationally recognised cruise line operator Carnival Australia’s workplace fit-out flows over four levels of the 3,500sqm tenancy, with many of its brands operating within the tenancy.
We delivered the fit-out of the operator’s inspired new workspace that adapted an open plan activity-based working environment. The space includes collaborators, incubators, private rooms, quiet rooms, neighbourhood hubs and a centralised café. The innovative work environment’s objective is to bring the brands together in a common space while maintaining their individuality.
We constructed a premium workplace, conceived by Siren Design, to meet Carnival’s unique operational requirements.
The brief included the make-good of the existing office and the strip-out of the previous fit-out and its redundant services. We delivered the fit-out of all services, including hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, security AV and fire, as well as additional storage installation within the underground carpark. The new design houses a complex IT infrastructure and main communications room with sub-communication rooms on each floor, as well as an emergency response room as a risk management requirement.
We tightly managed the fit-out and ensured smart staging while delivering on an evolving design in a constrained timeframe. Out of hours demolition and noisy works enabled tenants to continue accessing the building during the day without interruption.
Key to the project’s successful delivery was the detailed coordination and communication required to complete the project in a 9-week program. Coming in under the clients’ budget was a further credit to our team.
