Carpark waterproofing, Commercial Refurbishment Works
Building Guild was appointed to undertake works within a Dexus Property Group commercial and industrial estate in St Leonards. The estate houses thirteen office / warehouse units, providing approximately 19,300sqm of NLA. Tenants of the estate all required 24-hour access and operational continuity throughout the works.
The project scope of works included:
— Lobby upgrade
— Façade exterior painting
— Rooftop car park refurbishment and waterproofing
— Four lift lobby upgrades; replacement of existing tiling to the lift lobbies
— Upgrades to the emergency and feature lighting
— New timber panelling
We worked with the design team and Dexus to identify suitable tiling and timber alternatives to those originally specified to overcome lead time challenges. We researched options and provided coordinated samples of alternative tiles and timber (a cost-effective and readily available solution), which allowed the project to proceed on schedule.
From the outset, we worked closely alongside the project team and designer to refine
Finishes and provide significant improvements to the building’s façade. We also provided an engineered re-waterproofing solution for the rooftop car park with a twenty-year warranty. Our project team offered value engineered options and our innovation and commitment to this process provided a high value solution with potential for further applications across the client portfolio.
