Building Guild was founded in 2009 after identifying a gap in highly resolved interior fit-outs and refurbishments across the East Coast. Since then, we have naturally progressed into construction and new build projects. With capabilities to manage projects from design to delivery. We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our team of “collective strength” at Building Guild
About the Role
To plan and monitor the work performance of Subcontractors and employees to meet project timelines, quality, cost and performance standards. To provide a safe place of work and safe work practices and methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision
— Supervise aspects of larger projects under direction of the Project Manager
— Monitor progression of works against the current construction program and ensuring trade are coordinating and meeting expected timeline
— Oversee the quality and delivery of trades/sub-contractors to ensure a high standard is achieved
— Provide ongoing leadership direction and support to site team members
WH&S
— Attends sites with open eyes and brings questionable or unacceptable items to the attention of the Project Manager or fixes issue
— Identifies hazards, and assesses and controls WH&S risks
— Proactively implement WH&S and building standards
— Ensuring that all work on site is performed within WH&S and compliance building codes and other relevant regulations
Environment
— Complies with environmental procedures and practices, environmental legislation, regulations and licensing conditions.

About You
You are a highly organised people leader. With the ability to plan and monitor the work performance of Subcontractors and Building Guild employees to meet project timelines, quality, cost, and performance standards. With a high attention to detail covering risk, people, safety, and stakeholder management. To provide a safe place of work and safe work practices and methods.
You can take on feedback, pivot quickly and deliver a project with its supporting documentation in line with Building Guild and the clients standards.
Previous experience:
- — At least 3 years previous experience as a Site Manager
- — A trade qualification is highly desirable
- — Ability to supervise, organise and manage sub-contractor, trades, and peers
- — Proficiency in Microsoft, Bluebeam, Jobpac, Procore or similar systems is highly desirable
- — Ability to motivate others through a positive attitude
- — Drivers Licence
- — Current construction White Card, First Aid Certificate & Working on heights
- — Full working rights within Australia
